In this video, we'll see my first attempt at teaching a song to 1st graders at Longfellow Elementary School. Overall, I think the lesson went well. There were definitely some moments where I lost control of the pacing, and the kids felt free to do anything but the lesson. It might have been because I was willing to listen to them in the beginning which prompted everyone else to do the same throughout the song. With that in mind, it made me realize how very important Classroom Management is and its implementations. In contrast, I think the lesson went great considering it's my first time teaching at all. With the kids being able to do the movement and singing towards the end of the lesson, I'd like to consider that a successful and knowledgeable experience.
